Unsatisfied with the depiction of African-Americans
through white historians, Brother Carter G. Woodson, also known as the
"Father of Black History," helped set the record straight.
Brother Woodson is perhaps best known for the Negro History Week that
he first organized in February, 1926 and which today has developed into
Black History Month.
