It was agreed that procedures for presenters who want to have their paper considered for publication in the journal would be the following:

  1. The Program Chair, Richard Hall, contacts presenters, asking them if they want to submit their paper for review.
  2. Those who do are directed to send their paper to the Interim Chair of the Editorial Board, P. Eddy Wilson, within two weeks.
  3. Upon receiving the papers, the Chair of the Editorial Board sends the papers out to be reviewed by members of the Editorial Board, asking that they be returned by a certain deadline.
  4. Board members review the papers and send the papers and their comments back to the Chair.
  5. Then the Chair either asks the presenter for revisions or lets them know that the paper has successfully passed the review process.

There was an interest in having next yearís meeting in a more central location in the state, and so the Secretary-Treasurer was directed to make inquiries in this regard.

In accordance with the associationís constitution, Richard Hall of Methodist College, will become President for next year. John Brooks of Fayetteville State University agreed to serve as Vice-President and Program Chair for next yearís meeting.

The Secretary-Treasurer thanked Sam Murrell for the cordial hospitality and delicious refreshments he and his department provided for the conference participants. He also praised President Sam Murrell and Vice- President and Program Chair Richard Hall for their hard work in preparing the conference. Richard Hall also thanked the Secretary-Treasurer for his work on behalf of the association. The Secretary-Treasurer agreed to send thank-you notes from the NCRSA to Sam, his department, and Richard.

The Secretary-Treasurer also said that he would include UNC-G and Duke on the NCRSA distribution list in the coming year.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:35 PM.

Respectfully submitted,
