The official band shoe is a black military oxford shoe with a medium low quarter heel (for instrument players only). Formal or Flat bottom shoes are not acceptable. (!!No Boots will be allowed!!) All auxiliary will be required to purchase white boots, during camp.
Students who do not own their instruments can rent one from the university band. This year ALL BAND INSTRUMENTS furnished by the university band can be rented for a fee of $50.00 per academic year. The reason there is a fee for all instruments is because some students in the past have abused and damage them. The repair rate for those instruments is going steadily upward. The rental fee will ensure that we will have the funds to repair instruments when they need some repairing. Each student that checks out an instrument will be responsible for it if it is damage or destroyed in any manner. All additional mouthpieces can be purchased for $40.00 each and Percussion students will pay $25.00 for any additional sticks and drum heads that they might need.
