| The Alliance Center for HBCUs
has the task to enhance access and participation by minority institutions in discretionary
programs authorized under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) sponsored
by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). The Center is in response
to infrastructure concerns, particularly as they pertain to grant acquisition and
management. The HBCU
Center is one of four centers in the nation. Fayetteville State University in
Fayetteville North Carolina houses the HBCU Center. The
Alliance Project which funds the four centers has it's headquarters at Vanderbilt
University in Nashville, Tennessee. |
