Vice President Chris Freeman called the ACM meeting to order. The meeting began with President Zohair Ahmad asking the members to vote on a time for the meetings. It was decided that the meeting time stay at 12:45 on Thursdays.

Next on the agenda was future plans, such as Club representation. The members were asked if they would want a king and queen of the ACM. At this time a decision has not been made. It was also brought up that we raise the membership fee to ten dollars but a decision has not yet been made.

Guest Speakers was the next discussion on the agenda. There was mention of plans for future speakers from different companies, such as Nortel was one mention to come and speak to the members of the club. The time set for the speakers will be in the afternoon at 5:30 or 5:45 p.m.

The programming contest was the next discussion. These questions were put out to the members: ‘Should there be any entry fee?’ and ‘Should it only be for ACM members?’ In this contest there will be three member teams with one computer only. Different suggestions were given for prizes of the winners such as books, certificates, etc. The date set for the contest is March 17, 2001.

The last item on the agenda was fundraising. There were many good ideas that were given, such as a bake sale, selling donuts, or just selling sandwiches and drinks. This fundraiser would take place maybe two times a week. The ACM club will pick a few days to do these fund raises and submit it to the school for approval. It was decided that there would be a Barbecue Selling on March 1, 2001 from 11-00a.m. until 2:00p.m. Next meeting we will discuss that each member will bring and who will work at the Selling table.
